Private Sessions and Coaching: 4-1 hour sessions –Puppy Time  thru Adults

At the training facility:  $220

In-home training: $200.00- travel fee may apply

Description:  Private training and coaching allow you to have personalized 1-1 training for you and your dog in a convenient location.  In-home training and coaching allow you and your dog to work in your natural environment, the place you live and play.  In either location, we will discuss individual goals for your dog and create a plan for success. We will use management tools (like baby gates, etc ) as we begin to train the life skill behaviors that your dog needs to live safely and harmoniously in your family.

Skills will include but are not limited to shaping and targeting behaviors, attention and focus, sit, down, settle, stay, mine/take it, techniques to build for loose-leash walking.  We will use a “clicker” to mark the desired behavior and then reward in a variety of ways like treats, pets, praise, toys, interactions, and activities.

The program can be highly individualized for both you and your pet and also include “field trips” to community locations for the purpose of taking learned skills into a new environment.  Personalized coaching allows the human to gain valuable handling skills, 1 on 1, and to receive coaching on how they can enhance their own skills and partnership with their dog.  This is a great option in terms of flexibility, individualization and learning the skills where your dog spends the majority of their time.  It is also a great option for dogs that are reactive, need a smaller environment and where a group or semi-private class is not appropriate. At our 4th session, we will review the goals and achievement and collaborate on next steps and opportunities.

*If you live outside of the immediate Sandpoint area, there may be a travel fee.

Description: Day training is where I come into your home and train your dog.  It is a flexible and efficient model for busy professionals and families.   I work with your dog in your home: the natural environment, the place you live and play.

Our first session will be an orientation to get to know you and your dog and the dog’s natural environment.  We will discuss individual goals for your dogs and I create a plan for success.

This is a more intensive model as I will come and work with your dog at least 3 X a week for 45 min. to an hour for several weeks in a row.  This gives us the opportunity to have consistent exposure for quick and maximum results. The program can be highly individualized for and also include individual goals based on your lifestyle and “field trips” to community locations for the purpose of taking learned skills into a new environment.

This is a great option in terms of flexibility, individualization and learning the skills where your dog spends the majority of their time.  It is also a great option for dogs that are reactive, need a smaller environment and where a group or semi-private class is not appropriate.

At the end of each session, you will receive an email that outlines the training elements, how you can reinforce the behaviors and the training at home and my time in/out.  The last session will be a transfer session where I will model and coach you on how to grow and maintain the behaviors.

A suggested time commitment is 3 or more sessions per week for 2 weeks, allowing for enough reinforcement for optimum results.
